Dear Friend,
2 Chronicles 16:9 talks about the eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth. Eunice and I are convinced that his eyes are on Asia at this chapter of our life. Our heart desires that God would continue to use us to fulfill His kingdom plan for this generation. Now that the COVID protocols are much loose and life has begun to resume face-to-face format even here in the Philippines, we have become busy again to sensitively keep in step with the Lord’s move to reach the nations. With a projected 8 billion people on earth in November 2022 and India replacing China as the world's most populous nation in 2023, we definitely need more workers for those two nations. Please pray with us that the Lord of the harvest will send us more workers into these harvest fields (Matthew 9:38). Along with China (where our work began in 2015), India has been on our full radar lately. EAPTC India started its operation in the middle of this year. A gifted ministry of ‘V,’ the wife of ‘N,’ to the local children and women has been pivotal in building a core group for a church plant in ‘T’ city, where 90% of men are alcoholics. I’ll be traveling soon to India to see how the Lord has worked through my team there and encourage the work of Pastor ‘N’ and his people. Kindly keep our work in India in your prayers.
Thank God for contemporary online technology expedited during the pandemic; I’ve been regularly ministering to our coworkers in Africa, remotely from halfway around the world. The Holy Spirit is using this unprecedented medium that proved to be significantly time-saving, cost-effective, and fruit-bearing in our case. EAPTC national leaders representing 15 nations of Africa and Asia have periodic meetings with me online to set the trajectory of the next move of God in the post-pandemic. It was also a joy to meet online and edify our new leader in Harare, Zimbabwe – a nation that went through hyperinflation and direly needs God’s healing touch in communities.
In August, my regular teaching ministry resumed at the International Graduate School of Leadership to raise Christian leaders of Asia. At IGSL, Eunice is also committed to training wives of Asian church leaders. Her teaching ministry on biblical womanhood and the roles of the leader’s wife expounds the core of their calling as valuable partners in ministry. Many women are touched and experience transformation in their perspectives. We plan to expand this vital training ministry to a global dimension via a hybrid online and in-person teaching format in 2023.
Thank you for faithfully standing with us as co-laborers in God’s mission. There’s still much work to be done. May our God meet your needs and satisfy your soul with his grace and mercy as you serve the nations with us.
Serving with you,
