Paul & Eunice Lee have been serving together in ministry, both at home in the U.S. and abroad, for nearly three decades. They have played a pivotal role in expanding EAPTC's outreach to a global scale, spanning Africa, Asia, and now the Washington DC area. Their new focus is to strengthen the mission Stateside by serving as discipleship/missions trainers in the U.S.

The greatest spiritual need in the nation’s capital area—and across America—is most likely effective discipleship and leadership development to spark spiritual renewal amidst a declining population of believers in this post-Christendom period. Dr. and Mrs. Lee are passionately committed to this urgent call: equipping disciple-makers and mobilizing missional practitioners. While based in the U.S., they continue to oversee EAPTC’s international mission operations in Africa and Asia. Central to their work is the EAPTC Academy, where they partner with churches and institutions to empower disciple-makers and foster spiritual growth. Watch more about their work here.

Would you stand with us as the Lees bring new missional opportunities to the DC, Maryland, and Virginia communities during this critical time? Your generous support enables them to focus on raising disciple-makers, strengthening local churches, and reaching the nations.

[The Lees Update] Newsletter (November 2024)

Dear Friend,

It’s been over 100 days since Eunice and I relocated to the Washington DC area, and we've been fully engaged in settling into our new (and familiar) surroundings. Returning here after nearly three decades, we’re seeing firsthand how much has changed, especially the spiritual climate. The churches are facing growing stagnation, and in a culture deeply influenced by metamodernism, faith can feel like an afterthought— especially for the younger generation. In response, God has placed it on our hearts to start mentoring a small group of young Christian leaders here. We ask for your prayers as we hope this group grows and deepens in its discipleship impact. We truly believe that raising disciples who make disciples is the path to revival.

■ My work directing the international EAPTC team continues to expand from our U.S. base. By God’s grace, I’m leading and supporting national Christian leaders in 16 nations. If you feel led to support these efforts in any way, please visit the EAPTC Projects for details on current needs within this network of churches and ministries. Exciting developments are happening globally: a new ministry office underway in suburban Nairobi, Kenya, a fresh house church plant in T City, India, a new church plant in Bohol, Philippines, and a celebration in Lilongwe, Malawi where new leaders have recently been commissioned to serve the community and the nation.

New church plant, Bohol, Philippines

Prayer Points
  • Please pray that God will continue to send and connect us with the right people for our discipleship training cohorts in the U.S. and abroad.
  • Uplift our national Christian leaders serving in 16 nations as they faithfully carry out God’s work.
  • Keep our sons, Tim and Titus, in your prayers.
  • Pray for God’s provision to meet the financial needs of our ministry in the U.S. and abroad.

Your prayers and financial support enable these soul winners, disciple-makers, and church planters to fulfill the Great Commission on our behalf. Jesus’ command is clear: Go and make disciples of all nations (Mt 28:19). Thank you for obeying this call with us.

Yours for the nations,
Dr. Paul Lee (& Eunice)

[The Lees Update] Newsletter (July 2024)

Dear Friend,

The last three months have been a special time of sensing God's leading and hearing His voice. During this period, God has exclusively guided Eunice and me toward a new path after 28 years of overseas missions work. Following Africa's significant harvest, Asia is now experiencing a similar movement. From China to India, leaders are emerging, and new churches are being planted continuously. I also recently completed my five-year volunteer role as a board member at Faith Academy, one of the most long-standing Missionary Kid schools in the world. All my board work last year was carried out virtually. Thank God for this technology, which has changed the face of world missions. Your support has empowered these efforts through EAPTC.

After 16 years of service in Kenya/Africa and 11 years in Asia, Eunice and I have spent the past year on furlough in Colorado. This year has brought many unexpected adjustments and changes. After much prayer, consultation, and research, we felt called to strengthen EAPTC’s work Stateside with a new focus: serving as discipleship/missions trainers in the U.S. Alarmingly, 3,500 churches closed in America in 2023, and the Christian population, especially among younger generations including Gen Z, continues to decline. In fact, I just returned from the annual meeting of the American Society of Missiology in South Bend, Indiana, where 200 missiologists and mission organization leaders from around the U.S. expressed their shared concern.

■ We have prayerfully decided to embrace this call at a critical time, as U.S. Christianity and churches face unprecedented challenges. Accordingly, we will be relocating (again) to the Northern Virginia / Washington D.C. area in August, following God's guidance for this new phase of our lives. Eunice and I deeply appreciated your valuable support for the Asia mission through your giving and prayers. We would be grateful for your continued partnership in giving and intercession as we transition into our new U.S. ministry (and life) over the next few years. Here is an introductory video of our upcoming U.S. work.

It can be difficult to perceive the work God is doing in the nations through your companionship with EAPTC. Therefore, we plan to form U.S. missions teams several times a year to visit EAPTC ministry fields in 16 countries. Would you and/or your church be interested? I encourage you to pray about joining me on our next missions trip to Africa (Kenya/Malawi) in October 2024. Please email me for more information.

From Africa to Asia, and now to America, the time is now. Let’s continue to move forward together for God's kingdom and His will on earth.

Together for the nations,
Dr. Paul Lee (& Eunice)

[The Lees Update] Newsletter (April 2024)

Dear Friend,

My role as international director with EAPTC encompasses various responsibilities, from online teaching/coaching to missionary travels for in-person mentoring. This includes providing pastoral support, strategic direction, and mentoring national directors leading EAPTC's global operations in their respective countries. I regularly convene with a small group of 7-10 national leaders for virtual meetings. During these sessions, we share personal and ministry updates and dedicate 1-2 hours to mutual encouragement and prayer. I believe virtual meetings are a game-changer for global missions, allowing us to engage with Christian leaders from anywhere in the world using current technology. Due to language barriers, Korean leaders convene separately with me once a month for prayers concerning EAPTC's mission. These prayer warriors now represent not only South Korea but also Korean diasporas in the U.K., U.S., and China, making for a fervent prayer time.

Recently, I visited Vietnam to check on our leader, Pastor Q. His sacrificial and persistent ministry over the past five years among Vietnamese young professionals, in a country with limited religious freedom and constant governmental monitoring of church activities, has borne fruit. A vibrant congregation now exists, with numerous dynamic leaders working together to reach T city and beyond. Despite excessive heat warnings during my time in Vietnam, I thoroughly cherished the fellowship with emerging leaders.

In Bohol, the Open Bible seminar, a leadership training program of EAPTC Philippines, is thriving. Meanwhile, EAPTC India has planted several house churches in M city. They are still seeking a rental facility for Sunday services and weekly church activities. Some of our leaders in China are relentlessly facing challenges due to the government's post-pandemic regulations on house churches. They're in need of your prayers now more than ever. The work of EAPTC Africa continues to multiply, with more disciples being equipped and churches planted throughout the continent. Please continue to support the endeavors of our dedicated EAPTC gospel workers around the world.

Last but not least, here is a hard copy of the Spanish Missionary Candidate Training curriculum! I'm grateful that God has used and continues to use this resource to raise up missionaries and cross-cultural gospel workers in the Majority World. If you know someone in the Spanish-speaking world who could benefit from this training, please let me know, and I'll be delighted to send you the related information.

On a personal note, my father, who battled cancer, went to be with the Lord in January. God has been gracious throughout the funeral and memorial services. With three months left in our one-year sabbatical, God is guiding both Eunice and me regarding the next step in our ministry. Please keep praying with us. Eunice and I find great joy in moving forward with you for the cause of the Kingdom. Indeed, your prayers and generous contributions continue to bear fruit and reap harvests around the world. Thank you for obediently following the voice of the Lord and reaching the world with us.

Together for the nations,
Dr. Paul Lee (& Eunice)
